Examination Rules Our Students Must Follow

Each student participating in the exam is required to carry the student ID card issued by Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, as well as a valid photo ID (national identity card, driver’s license, or passport) that may be requested if necessary. Students must be present in the exam hall on time to allow for ID checks and seating arrangements.

Students must comply with all instructions given by the exam invigilators. The invigilators have the authority to determine students' seating and to change it if necessary.

The exam will commence once students have written and signed their full name and student number in the designated areas on the Question and Answer sheets. A student may be allowed to take the exam within the first 15 minutes after it has started, provided that the excuse is accepted by the Course Coordinator. However, no additional time will be granted for this student.

Even if they finish answering early, students are not allowed to leave the exam hall during the first 20 minutes. Leaving the exam hall for restroom or similar needs is strictly prohibited during the exam. Any student who leaves the hall for any reason will not be permitted to re-enter.

Students are strictly prohibited from bringing mobile phones, handheld computers, pagers, radios, cameras, video recorders, watches with functions beyond timekeeping, and any other electronic devices with computing capabilities into the exam hall. The use of items such as notebooks, books, dictionaries (including electronic ones), and calculators is subject to the permission of the Course Coordinator.

It is strictly forbidden to write the questions or the answers on a separate sheet of paper and take it outside the exam hall.

During the exam, students are prohibited from talking to each other, attempting or helping others to cheat, borrowing or lending items such as pens and erasers, or engaging in any behavior that may disturb others or disrupt the exam environment. Invigilators are not obligated to warn students attempting to cheat; the responsibility lies with the students. Students must ensure that their answer sheets are positioned so that others cannot see them to prevent cheating.

Students are required to follow all exam rules. Invigilators have the right to warn students suspected of cheating. However, to avoid distracting others or wasting time, they may also choose not to warn the offending student. Regardless of the approach, any student caught cheating, attempting to cheat, aiding or abetting cheating, or engaging in dishonest behavior during the exam will have their identity and violation recorded in a formal report by the invigilators. Disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against such students in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulation.
